Hardback in clear plastic protective wrapper.
Red book cloth. Cloth split along spine.
Front edges of pages stamped with the names of the contents such as, Streets, Commercial, Trades, Court, Parliamentary, Conveyance, Banking, etc.

It looks as if both endpapers have been replaced. Front endpaper inscribed: ‘Lacking map. Paper brittle and frequent small tears and a few very small losses of text. Scarce’

Ex-library copy. Library plate and ‘withdrawn’ stamp on inside front cover. Title page stamped several times, clipped and taped (see photo). Several inside pages have been repaired with tape.

Kelly’s Post Office Directory is a huge, comprehensive directory of London which contains both the Street Index, which lists streets alphabetically with residents’ names; and the Court Directory, which includes an alphabetical list of people by name with the street included, and so can be used with name or address information resource.
