Subsunk, the story of submarine escape
Capt W O Shelford, RN (Retd), FRSA
First US edition
Subsunk is the story of successful escapes from submarines collected from 21 navies of the world. Salvage of submarines are rarely able to be carried out in time to save lives; crews must be prepared to save their lives by abandoning ship. The author relates the many stories of successful escape and his own role in pioneering revolutionary methods of submarine escape that were almost universally adopted after WW2.
