Pencilled notes on half title page: ‘Very scarce. Ellsberg’s last book? D-Day invasion after being Eisenhower’s principal salvage officer in North Africa. Awarded British CBE and America’s Legion of Merit (twice) for this work. Believed to be only 1 printing of this book’. Title page stamped with library stamp and ‘discards’.
