HMS Montagu was grounded on the Shutter Rocksin thick fog during a Fleet exercise aimed at testing newly installed wireless telegraphic signaling equipment. The ship’s propellers were severed by the impact, leading to flooding and leaks. This book was published to mark the 75th anniversary of the grounding and salvage attempts, offering insights into the events and their aftermath.
