Memoire of Professor Peter Bennett whose life encompassed diving research, medical publishing and founding the Divers Alert Network in the USA. He has been involved with diving research programmes with Duke University Medical Center, the Hyperbaric Center in the USA, the Royal Naval Physiological Laboratory in the UK, the Defense and Civil Institute for Diving Research in Canada and the Germany Underwater Simulator. This is a very personal recollection from his early years in England and India to his later life in the USA.
John Bevan worked with Peter Bennett during his time at RNPL and is featured in the book. On page 44 John annotated the caption (in pencil) noting that it was taken in 1970 during the world record breaking dive that John and his colleague Peter Sharphouse carried out at that time.
