In 1948 Philippe Taillez met Heinz Sellner who had devised a novel way of using submarines as recovery vessels. during the next 10 years the two men constructed Aquarius II from scrap metal and obsolete equipment. In this book the author recounts the progress of their plans to build a rescue submarine capable of diving to the deepest depths.
Hardback with dust jacket in cellophane cover. Dust jacket has small tears and creases with a piece missing from the top front cover. Foxing to outside edges of the pages and to endpapers, otherwise in very good condition.
