Harbottle’s Dictionary of Battles, by G Bruce

Harbottle’s Dictionary of Battles
by George Bruce
Second revised edition

Originally complied by Thomas Harbottle in 1904, this revised edition by George Bruce incorporates operations from the Boer Wars, Vietnam, The Arab-Israeli war and the Sino-Vietnamese war. The Dictionary provides key facts to all the major battles – the date, the war during which it was fought, identifies opposing sides and describes the outcome. It is also cross-referenced to indicate other battles associated with an entry – where appropriate.
