The book has clearly once been wet. The lower part of the pages are water stained. The cover boards in particular are damaged – warped, dented, torn, rubbed and in very poor condition. However, the contents are all readable and there is an 11-page article about submarine warships.

Other subjects include ‘The largest camera in the world’, ‘The Great Boer War’ by Conan Doyle, ‘The massacre of General Custer and is command’, as well as stories from Siam (Thailand), New Britain (Papua New Guinea), the Topocobya Trail (Arizona), Spain, Central Asia, Africa, Antarctica,etc.
